While my stock exhaust was not quite ready for replacement, the Borla cat-back exhaust was more a matter of a performance upgrade and preventative maintenance. I have had Borla stainless cat-back systems on a couple of my vehicles and liked the nice mellow rumble they produce. The added benefit of the stainless steel up here in the rust belt made this a prudent upgrade. There are a number of cat-back systems available for the 4.0L engine, but I went with what I was comfortable with.

Borla's cat-back sytem for the 4.0L I-6 is P/N 14836. It is a converter-back system and comes with everything needed for installation. I opted to have a muffler shop I use do the work. The stock system was nicely rusted and I don't own a torch (or a lift). My only complaint is the "bling" exhaust tip. It is WAY too big for practical trail use. It will be coming off when I build a custom rear bumper.
